On 23 October 2015, trading in Globo shares was suspended. On 26 October, CEO Konstantinos Papadimitrakopoulos and CFO Dimitris Gryparis resigned, having informed the board of directors about "certain matters regarding the falsification of data and misrepresentation of the company's financial situation". Globo stated that they would appoint an independent forensic accounting team to investigate allegations raised by Quintessential Capital Management, an American hedge fund. On 22 October, Papadimitrakopoulos sold 42 million shares.[5]
