Golondaaj

Golondaaj is an upcoming Indian Bengali-language biographical sports drama film directed by Dhrubo Banerjee and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni. The film stars Dev, Alexx O'Nell, Anirban Bhattacharya, Ishaa Saha, Indrasish Roy, Srikanta Acharya and John Bhattacharya. It is the story of the pioneer in Indian football, named Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikary.[2][3]

The first base of playing football in India was built in the playground adjoining the Hare School. Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari is the name of the man who was behind him, the field is named after him. Although the name of the father of Indian football has been forgotten, the self-styled Bengali. The film "Golondaaj" directed by Dhrubo Banerjee is based on the biography of Nagendra Prasad. The shooting for the film began in Kolkata from 5 February 2020.[4] Due to COVID-19 Pandemic they had to discontinue the shooting,[6]

The list of actors and actresses of the film was released on 25 January 2020 from the Twitter handle of SVF. That list shows that Dev, Anirban Bhattacharya, Ishaa Saha, Indrasish Roy, Srikanta Acharya, John Bhattacharya are acting in the film.[7]

A Times Of India article dated 2nd April 2020 subsequently revealed Alexx O'Nell stars as Major Frederick Jackson, antagonist to Dev's Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari. [8]
