Gorakhpur Cantonment railway station

Gorahkpur Cantonment is a railway station in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was originally constructed in 1914. It is likely to be electrified by May 2015 when Chhapra - Gorakhpur section's electrification will be commissioned. [1] Gorakhpur cantonment railway station is the second largest railway station in Gorakhpur after Gorakhpur Junction. After electrification of Chhapra - Gorakhpur - Lucknow section train density of passenger and goods, both will increase across Gorakhpur Cantonment and station may need remodeling. Gorakhpur railway platform is admitted as part of Gonda Loop, that was built by North Western Railway and the Bengal in 1886 to 1905 [1]
