According to sources this fort was built during Vijayanagara Empire and later it came in control of Abdul Nabi Khan, the Nawab of Kadapa, in the year 1714 CE.[1][2] The slates in the fort show that the fort, its massive fort wall and the buildings inside and the office building "Rangin Mahal" were built by Abdul Nabi Khan.
History
There is a strong fort on the hill. It was built by Nawab Abdul Nabi Khan of Kadapa in 1714 CE.[3] Even today, it is worthy of visit and mentioning. Nawab of Kadapa has proved to be quite popular. It is worth mentioning Nawab Abdul Nabi Khan as the governor of Bijapur Sultanate. His period starts from the year 1714 CE.[4] [5]
Nawab Abdul Nabi Khan built the existing Rangeen Mahal as his office. Today, even after almost three hundred years, this construction has its full range of tourism attractions. Tourists from within and out of the state visit this place.
