Heimstettener See
Heimstettener See is a lake in east Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The lake is located in the Munich gravel plain, and is bordered by the communities of Heimstetten, Aschheim and Feldkirchen.The lake is known locally as 'Fiji'.[1]

History
The lake was created in 1938 after the gravel mining operation undertook by Reichsbahn ceased. The site has been used for recreation in modern times.[2][3]
