Henriët van der Meer

Henriët Bosker-van der Meer (born 20 April 1967) is a Dutch-Swiss former long track speed skater.[1] She is the former wife of speed skater Ronald Bosker and the mother of speed skater Marcel Bosker.

Between 1984 and 1993 Van der Meer competed at Dutch national championships. She became Dutch national champion at the 1989 KNSB Dutch Allround Championships and won the bronze medal in 1990. She also became national champion at the 1993 Dutch Marathon Speed Skating Championships on natural ice. After that season she moved with her husband Ronald Bosker to Switzerland.

In 2003 she competed at the Swiss Single Distance Championships winning all the distances (500m, 1000m, 1500m, 3000m and 5000m) and became also national champion at the 2003 Swiss Allround Championships. In 2004 she won all the distances she competed in at the Swiss Single Distance Championships (500m, 1000m, 1500m and 3000m).[2]

Bosker-van der Meer represented Switzerland at the World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships and European Speed Skating Championships. At the 2004 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships she competed in the 5000 metres event where she finished 15th. At the 2004 European Speed Skating Championships she finished 23rd overall.[2] She also competed at other international competitions, including at ISU Speed Skating World Cups.[2] She set multiple Swiss speed skating records. The 5000m record she set in 2004, is as of 2020 still the national record.
