Higgins Independent School District

Higgins Independent School District was a public school district based in Higgins, Texas (USA). It consolidated with Canadian ISD due to low enrollment numbers on July 2020.

In addition to Higgins, the district also serves the community of Lipscomb.

Higgins ISD has one school Higgins High School that serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve.

Academic achievement

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]

Athletics

Higgins High and junior high Schools played six-man football. Boys and girls basketball. Track. Tennis. Cross country.
