Hope D

Hope Defteros, known professionally as Hope D, is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician from Brisbane. As an emerging artist, she has won a Queensland Music Award,[2][3] and is best known for her second single entitled "Second" released in 2020.

Career

In late 2019, Hope D released her debut single "Swim", which led her to be a finalist for the Billy Thorpe Scholarship.[1] In 2020 she released three further singles: "Second" and "Common Denominator",[4] and "Miscommunicate", in the lead-up to her February 2021 EP entitled Cash Only.[5]

Hope D has performed at Splendour in the Grass, St Jerome's Laneway Festival,[2] and King Street Crawl.[6] She won an 'Emerging Artist' award at the Queensland Music Awards,[2] and the Carol Lloyd Award at the 2020 QMusic Awards.[3]
