The station was located in a cutting off Station Road. The line remained in use until closure to passengers in 1966 between Wennington and Morecambe Harbour.
Freight services finished the following year in 1967. The line has since been returned to agricultural land. The site has been built on by Station Close. Although the old line can still be followed on satellite.
