Hudson River Monster

In New York folklore, the Hudson River Monster or "Kipsy" is the name given to a reputed lake monster living in the Hudson River.[1][2][3] Atlas Obscura ranks "Kipsy," a pet name presumed to derived from Poughkeepsie,[2] at #17 in its list of "Lake Monsters of the United States, 'Nessies.'"[4]
