Il est interdit d'interdire !

Il est interdit d'interdire ! (means "it is forbidden to forbid") is an aphorism in French created and pronounced for the first time on the radio RTL by Jean Yanne in the form of a mocking joke, and considered as a polyptote by linguists.[1] This sentence later became one of the slogans of May 1968.[2][3]

Written on a wall in Menton, France.
