International Schools Group

The International Schools Group (ISG) is a district of accredited international schools providing American and British education to expatriate families and national students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ISG currently operates six schools in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom. They are: Dhahran British Grammar School, Dhahran Elementary/Middle School, Dhahran High School (formerly Dhahran Academy), ISG Dammam (formerly Rahima Academcy), ISG Jubail (formerly Jubail Academy) and Sara Village School.[1]

International Schools Group

ISG is a not-for-profit school district founded in 1962 with six students on what was then called the Consular Academy. Schools are categorized into three divisions: American, British, and International, All ISG schools are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) through December 2024. The Council of International Schools (CIS) accredits several schools depending upon the curriculum offered.

Schools are coeducational day schools delivering preschool/prereception to grade 12 and GCE/A Level programs for expatriate children and Saudi nationals. In 2011, ISG's Dhahran High School Baccalaureate Centre became an official IB World School. ISG's Jubail School earned this distinction in 2018. ISG students may pursue Advanced Placement (AP) college preparatory courses or elect to pursue an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The District is governed by a 12-member Board of Trustees and is licensed by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education.

ISG currently employs over 300 teachers, and services nearly 3,500 students. Academic year contracts for teachers are 191 days; for students, 179. It offers extra-curricular programs in a wide variety of athletic, artistic, and academic-based programs, along with annual opportunities for student travel. Professional development for teachers is also provided.
