Ivan Sala

He started studying Internal Combustion Engines at the Nautical Technical Institute in Camogli, Genova. Also, he graduated in Polytechnic University of Milan as a professional in Mechanical Engineering.

He began his working life at 18 years opening his first store where he sold used scooters and so far he has kept in the motorcycle trade. His professional scope was developed with Italy Anyway store, it started as a motorcycle club and became a consolidated shop selling motorcycles, reaching sales exceeded 2000 motorcycles annually.

In December 2004 he arrived to Costa Rica, Latinamerica. He began working in the real estate market and selling bikes.

Sala started his racing life with a 125cc, usually he rode with different Italian superbikes crews and he always was faster than they with his little bike. Some of them talked with him and suggested to start a racing patch. One day a friend gave him his superbike 600cc and Sala raced a Track Day with some Italian Championship riders and he got a successfully result. After analyzing the result he got his first Honda CBR 600cc and started to race on every Track Day around Italy to get more experience and feeling of the bike for a large period of two years (1987-1988).

After preparing during two years, he bought a new Honda CBR600 and went to a Racing shop to get prepared his new bike with a low budget to can be race the Italian Championship in 1992. Then he requested the inscription for the championship and it was accepted. His first race was in Misano racetrack and got a amazing result in his first race, 4th place.[1] Here is where his professional path started racing the Sport Production 600cc. During the next couple of years and this ambition of get podiums he got some downs on the championship. Sala started to get good results in the next years around 1995-1996-1997 and several championships to get more experience on the racing world.

His life changed in 1998 when he got a new Yamaha R1 and it was prepared by himself. After that he got a successfully years winning races on Italy. In 2001 he changed his motorcycle manufacture to Suzuki GSX-R1000 and also with great result on next years racing in Open Italian Championship.
