History

JACS Au joins ACS Central Science and ACS Omega as fully open access options within the ACS portfolio of journals.[1][3] The journal also serves as a complement to ACS's flagship publication, Journal of the American Chemical Society and it gives authors an option to publish the same quality of research while enjoying the benefits that open access provides.[4]

Types of content

JACS Au publishes Letters, Articles, and Perspectives. Perspectives appear mostly on invitation.

Scope

JACS Au covers traditional sub-fields such as analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, as well as other application driven areas such as biological, catalytic, computational, education, engineering, environmental, materials, medicinal, nanoscience and theoretical chemistry; and other multidisciplinary areas of research as they relate to chemistry.
