James A. Matthewson

Since 1995, James A. Matthewson has been a British Internet entrepreneur, published author, educator, speaker and widely published commentator on digital marketing and digital industry issues. In 1997, Matthewson founded Shrinking Earth.net, a web design and digital communications agency. In 2003, Shrinking Earth.net became part of below the line agency The Yellow Submarine (since dissolved).

In 2005, Matthewson established My Digital JAM Limited [1](originally called Trust Digital, but re-branded in 2008) and has since been operating as a digital marketing consultant to global brands and digital marketing trainer & speaker for various organizations including The Institute of Direct Marketing [2] & Econsultancy.com.[3]

In 2002, Matthewson published his first book E-Business: A Jargon-free, Practical Guide.[4] & has since published several white papers on online advertising and digital marketing.

For nearly 10 years, Matthewson has been Course Director of the Institute of Direct Marketing’s Certificate in Digital Marketing [5] and a guest speaker on their Diploma in Digital Marketing, as well as delivering many In-company digital marketing training courses for their clients.

Matthewson is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.[2]
