Jan Adamski

Jan Adamski (born 11 October 1943) is a Polish chess player who won the Polish Chess Championship in 1982. FIDE International Master (1976).

Chess career

In 1963 Jan Adamski was fourth in World U-20 Championship in Vrnjačka Banja.[1] In the Polish Chess Championship Jan Adamski has won gold (1982), 5 silver (1968, 1969, 1970, 1975, 1985) and 2 bronze medals (1973, 1974). Twice won Polish Rapid Chess Championship (1975, 1983). In Polish Team Chess Championship Adamski nine times won the team event.[2] He was awarded the International Master title in 1976.

  • In 1973, at sixth board in the 5th European Team Chess Championship in Bath (+0, =3, -2).

Jan Adamski is well known chess coach and teacher of many famous chess players. He was a trainer of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) Agnieszka Brustman.
