Jay Davis

Donald 'Jay' Davis is an American actor, stand-up comedian and comedy promoter/producer who garnered nationwide attention after appearing in Dane Cook's Tourgasm, a 30-day cross-country-tour-turned-reality-show which also included Cook, Gary Gulman and Robert Kelly, and was given an 8-episode run on HBO.

Davis began performing comedy at an early age, and went to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. After some film and television roles, he began hosting shows and doing a regular stand-up routine at Dublin's, an Irish pub formerly in Hollywood. It was there that he met Cook, when the comedian came in to join the recurring lineup. When the venue closed, Davis toured solo for a while. Dubbed as "the nice guy," during the TV series, Davis was given an occasional hard time by his friends. Kelly, in particular, yelled at him, while Cook and Gulman often played practical jokes (although Cook would later impart advice and act as a comedy mentor). The show also documented Davis' efforts at developing new stand-up material (the "TLC Killer" joke, in particular).

Davis continues to perform stand-up comedy throughout the U.S., both with and without his Tourgasm colleagues.
