Political career

After the death of his father he became leader of his party. When he takeover party that time Shekap (Peasants and Workers Party of India(PWP)) at prime stage in Maharashtra Politics as the whole raigad district is in under rule of party. Z.P. and almost all panchayat's under the rule of his party.

2004 Maharashtra Assembly Election was major setback for his party, two of the Major leaders lost there seats from Alibag and Pen Constituency. In 2009 they regain those constituency seats but lost Panvel and also lost a number of votes from district. In 2014 election they only won two seats in Raigad.

In 2019 they allies with NCP and lost all the seats in Raigad. People's anger against their inappropriate alliance cost them major loss, they lose their entitled votes. Voter's decision to cut off tie with their regional party is major signal for him. His approach towards alliance with opposition party may cost party's future in Maharashtra Politics.[1]
