Career

Career beginnings and The Voice Teens

In December 2018, Acosta independently released a 7-track project entitled "Swerte" on SoundCloud under the name "Angelo Acosta".[10] The carrier single's music video with the same title was released and had 100,000 views within two days after the upload on his Facebook page.[10][11] He went on releasing more songs on his YouTube channel.

In 2020, Acosta participated in the blind auditions of the second season of The Voice Teens Philippines, he sang Shanti Dope's local hit "Nadarang" and managed to make Bamboo Mañalac and apl.de.ap turn. He picked the latter as his coach.[7] He got eliminated in the Battles.[12] He was the first hip-hop artist to get into a coach's team and reach the Battles across all eight seasons of the local The Voice Philippines franchise.[13]
