History
Jillette grew up in New York City and started playing piano and writing music before the age of 10.[2] She started playing live venues in NYC at the age of 12. Jillette auditioned for The Voice on NBC but turned down the offer to appear on the show so she could focus all of her effort toward her career and her music.[2][5][6]
Her debut album, Water in a Whale, was released on June 25, 2013 by Wind-Up Records[7] and earned her comparisons to the likes of artists such as Fiona Apple and Adele.[8] Johnson then released her Dave Cobb-produced sophomore record, All I Ever See In You Is Me, via Rounder Records in 2017 to widespread acclaim from Billboard,[9] Paste,[10] Marie Claire, and ELLE.[11] Johnson currently resides in Nashville, TN and will release her first album in three years, It's a Beautiful Day and I Love You, on February 12, 2021, which has already garnered praise from outlets such as Rolling Stone,[12] American Songwriter,[13] CMT, and Refinery29.[14]

Her debut album with Wind-up, Water in a Whale, was released June 25, 2013.[16] The album consists of the five tracks from the preview EP plus eight new tracks and a new version of "Cameron".[17] It was produced by Peter Zizzo and Michael Mangini.[6]
