Johanna Östlund

Johanna Östlund (born 1 May 1987 in Gävle) is a Swedish former long track speed skater, who was active between 2000 and 2017.[1] She trained with the Kia Speedskating Academy in Inzell, Germany.

Östlund represented her nation at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships for Women in 2013, finishing 33rd overall.[2] She participated at the European Speed Skating Championships for Women in 2013 and 2014. She also competed at other international competitions, including at ISU Speed Skating World Cups.[2]

She had to pay her own costs when competing abroad. For that reason she has chosen to skip the 2014-15 speed skating season. Instead, she studied food sciences in Wageningen, the Netherlands. Late 2015 she continued with speed skating for the 2015-16 season.

Between 2004 and 2016 she had 25 starts at national championships. She became 11 times national champion and won furthermore 1 silver and 5 bronze medals at national championships.[2]
