John Howcroft

John Thomas "Jack" Howcroft (born 1876 Bolton, England - died 28 December 1962) was a former English international football referee.[1]

Career

He officiated 18 international matches and was FIFA referee in 1908-1921. He attributed a match in 1908 Olympic Games which in his home country's match[2] and others were in friendly matches. He also attributed totally two matches in British Home Championship in 1910 and 1921 editions and three matches in Wagnerpokal in 1912 but all noted matches counts as friendly.[3] He also officiated last match of Germany before World War I in 1914 in Amsterdam (NED-GER 4:4).[4]
