Johnny Luk

Johnny Luk MRSA (born 1990) is a venture builder, speaker and indoor rower. He is a Governor of the University for the Creative Arts.

Luk was Head of Policy and Strategy for Adecco UK, a Senior Policy Adviser in the Brexit Department and worked in the Business, Trade and Digital Departments of the British Government.[1] Luk has also served as a judge for Microsoft Ventures and the London Mayor's low carbon scheme.[2] He was Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs for two years [3][4][5] and was a Conservative party parliamentary candidate for the Constituency of Hampstead and Kilburn in the 2019 General Election.[6][7][8][9][10] and was briefly the Conservative Friends of the Chinese's co-director.

Biography

Johnny Luk was born in Hong Kong in 1990,[6] and grew up in England, studying at Heronsgate Middle School and then Bedford Modern School, and graduated from the University of Durham in Natural Sciences.[11][12] An accomplished oarsman, Luk was a 2020 Australian Indoor Rowing Silver Medalist,[13] a 2016 Welsh Indoor Rowing Silver Medallist and a 2009 National Schools Gold Medallist.[1][7]

Luk was Head of Policy and Strategy for Adecco UK, a Senior Policy Adviser in the Brexit Department and worked in the Business, Trade and Digital Departments.[1] He served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs for two years.[3] Johnny is also a TEDx Speaker.[14]
