Johnson County Sheriff's Office (Texas)

Johnson County Sheriff's Office is a law enforcement agency located in Johnson County, Texas. The current sheriff is Adam King. [1] The agency also operates the Johnson County Jail in Cleburne. An earlier jailhouse was constructed in 1938 and designed by W. G. Clarkson & Company. The building is currently unused.[2]

The first elected sheriff was Missouri native Abraham Onstott in 1854.[3][4]
