Jolanda Grimbergen

Jolanda Grimbergen (born 7 August 1967 in Rijnsburg) is a Dutch former long track speed skater and short track speed skater. After her main career, she competed as a master in the 2010s.[1]

As a short track speed skater Grimberben competed at the 1983 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships.

As a junior speed skater Grimbergen participated at the 1984, 1985 and 1986 World Junior Speed Skating Championships finishing 4th overall in both 1985 and 1986. She represented her nation twice at the European Speed Skating Championships for Women: in 1990, finishing 13th overall and in 1991, also finishing 13th overall.[2] She also competed at other international competitions, including at ISU Speed Skating World Cups.[2]

Between 1983 and 1995 she had a total of 29 starts at national championships. She became national champion at the 1991 Dutch Allround Championships. Furthermore she won two silver and two bronze medals at national championships.[2]

Grimbergen finished 5th at the 1997 Elfstedentocht.

As a master she competed at the master world championships, winning the silver medal in 2016.

Her younger sister Petra Grimbergen was also a speed skater and cyclist.
