Kathleen Hagerty (academic)

Professor Kathleen M. Hagerty is an American lecturer and professor of finance. She assumed office of interim provost of Northwestern University in April 2020.[1] Prior to that, she was dean at the faculty of management in the Kellogg School of Management.[2][3]

She is the first female to be appointment in that position at the Northwestern university.[4]

Education

She earned her MBA in finance at University of California, Berkeley in 1979 before that, she obtained her master in operational research and bachelor of mathematics in the University of California and later in 1985 she was awarded PhD in Economics at Stanford University.[5][6]

Career

Kathleen gained relevant experience in the field of corporate finance and capital structure.[7]

She had worked for 30 years at the institution previously and held a Professorship of Finance.

She focused her research in the field of disclosure regulations, micro structure of security marketing, and insider trading regulations.[8]
