Katie Silberman

Katie Silberman is an American screenwriter and film producer. She is most known for writing the screenplays to Set It Up (2018) and Booksmart (2019).

Career

Silberman wrote the screenplay and served as a co-producer on romantic comedy film Set It Up, which appeared on the 2015 Blacklist.[1][2] It was released in June 2018, by Netflix to critical acclaim.[3] Silberman co-wrote Isn't It Romantic alongside Dana Fox and Erin Cardillo, directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson.[4]

In spring 2018, Silberman was hired to revise the screenplay for Booksmart, and to update the story; previous drafts had been written by Emily Halpern, Sarah Haskins and Susanna Fogel.[5][6] The film was released in 2019. Silberman, who also served as producer for the film, explored new concepts:[7][5] Silberman received a BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay nomination for the film.[8]

Silberman wrote a draft of Tom and Jerry which is set for release in March 2021.[9][10]

Silberman is attached to write the screenplay and produce Don't Worry Darling a thriller film directed by Olivia Wilde,[11] Most Dangerous Game for Netflix,[12] and an untitled holiday comedy film directed by Wilde for Universal Pictures.[13]
