Kerry Landman

Kerry Anne Landman FAA is an Australian applied mathematician and philanthropist. She is honorary professor of mathematics and statistics at the University of Melbourne.

Landman has a BSc (1974) and PhD (1978) from the University of Melbourne.[1][2]

During her career she has applied mathematical modelling to research in a number of areas, including industry, the environment, and biology and medicine.[3]

In 2014 Landman was awarded the ANZIAM medal.[4] She was elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science in May 2019.[5]

Landman has inaugurated the Kerry Landman Scholarship to support mathematics teachers in their studies towards a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Melbourne.[6][7] She is a donor to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's The Pizzicato Effect[8] and the National Gallery of Victoria, through the Felton Society.[9]
