Khanya Mkangisa

Khanya Mkangisa (born 13 March 1988), is a South African actress. She is best known for her roles in the popular serials Isidingo, Shattered, Step Up to a Start Up and Harvest. She is also a television presenter and DJ artist.[1]

Personal life

She was born on the 13 March 1988 in Peddie, South Africa. She is a graduate at AFDA, The School for the Creative Economy.

She has been dated to a rapper, J Molley who is 10 years younger than her where rumors sparked in October 2019.[2]

Career

At the age of 14, she joined the television and became a Yo YV presenter. She continued to work in the production for three years. Then she moved to present an educational science show titled Knock Knock. In 2004, she made her maiden television acting appearance in the series Mthunzini.Com. She later moved on to star in The Lab1 as 'Refilwe' and Ugugu noAndile. As a presenter, she hosted the dance show 'Shield Teen'. Meanwhile, she made supportive appearances in the popular shows Zone 14 in 2011 and Intersexions in 2012. In 2012, she acted in the BBC production Mad Dogs III with the role 'Anna'. Then in 2013, she joined the regular cast of the serial Zabalaza and played the role 'Mpilo'.[3]

In 2019, she made her debut as a DJ artist and performed at the Jozi to Quilox weekend festival in Lagos, Nigeria.[4] In 2020, she made the debut appearance in the popular soapie Muvhango with the role 'Mbali'.[5]
