Konstantin Zečević

Konstantin Zečević (born 8 January 1922 Belgrade, Yugoslavia – died 5 April 2015) was a retired Yugoslavian (Serbian) international football referee.[1]

Career

He officiated 7 international matches and was FIFA referee in 1961-1968. He attributed two match in 1966 World Cup qualifying, a match in 1966 World Cup Group stage[2] and others were in friendly matches. He gave a red card in World Cup match between Germany-Argentina to Argentinian Rafael Albrecht in 65th minute because of his foul play and also gave yellow card to German player Franz Beckenbauer.[3] At end of this match he escorted off the field only by the police.[4]

He was referee also club football matches such as European Champion Clubs' Cup (6), UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (4) and 1968 Intercontinental match second leg between Estudiantes-Manchester United (1:1). He officiated 1962-63 Yugoslav Cup Final match between GNK Dinamo Zagreb–HNK Hajduk Split 4:1.
