Two years after releasing his second album, Bachchu left Souls, and went on to form his band LRB. As he was more busy with his band, he didn't release a solo album for seven years, until 1995 after the release of "ঘুমন্ত শহরে (In the Sleeping City)", He got in the Audio Art Studio in July to start the recording of কষ্ট (Sadness). The recording sessions of the album ended in mid-October 1995. Unlike his previous albums, this album was a full rock album. The album had sold over 300,000 copies and is one of the best-selling album of Bangladesh.
