Laura Mattarella

Laura Mattarella (born 2 December 1968)[1] is the daughter of current President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and is the First Lady of Italy de facto.[2]

Biography

Laura Mattarella is the daughter of President Sergio Mattarella, widowed by his wife Marisa Chiazzese in 2012. Lawyer by profession, she is married to Cosimo Comella. The couple has three children.[3][4]

First Lady

President Sergio Mattarella is a widower; his wife, Marisa Chiazzese, died in 2012. However, the representation functions were taken by her older daughter, Laura who immediately accompanied her father on numerous state trips and on several occasions within the national territory.

On the occasion of the state visit to Vietnam, the first one she attended was a series of meetings without her father including a private visit to a school in the popular neighborhood of the poorest part of Ho Chi Mihn City.[5]
