Leinster Schools Rugby McMullen Cup

The Leinster Schools McMullen Cup is the third rugby union competition for secondary schools established as rugby playing school with the Leinster Branch of the IRFU.

Senior Schools Cup Rugby is divided into 4 tiers in two sections and each cup competition bears a name as follows: Section A Leinster Schools Rugby Senior Development Cup (effectively division 4), Section A Leinster Schools Rugby McMullen Cup (effectively division 3), Section B Leinster Schools Vinnie Murray Cup (effectively division 2), Section B Leinster Schools Rugby Senior Cup Challenge Cup (effectively division 1).

Historically, Mount Temple Comprehensive School are the most successful team in the McMullen Cup's history with 5 titles, their most recent title being achieved in a 28–20 win against St Mary's CBS Enniscorthy on the 16th of December 2019. Gorey Community School being the most successful team throughout the 2010s winning 3 titles and a two in a row in 2017/18 and 2018/19. this has seen their promotion to the Leinster Schools Vinnie Murray Cup.
