Leslie Gudel

Gudel was born in San Marino, California. She graduated from UCLA. She moved to Philadelphia in 1997.

Gudel began her television sportscasting career at KIDK in Pocatello, Idaho. She also worked for two years as a reporter for Prime Sports in Los Angeles,[1] [2] Gudel was a founding member of Comcast SportsNet, beginning with a role as a host of two nightly new shows, becoming the first female sportscaster in Philadelphia.[3] She then became the Phillies reporter from 2010-2016 for the network.[4] Gudel also spent three years with ABC Sports (1999-2001) as a college football sideline reporter. She also covered the US Figure Skating Championship, interviewed President George W. Bush at the Little League World Series, and reported from the Rose Parade and the Indianapolis 500.[5]

In 2009, Gudel launched her Baby Matters business and unveiled the Nap Nanny, a floor-use product designed for infants to safely sleep at an incline.[6] In 2012, the Consumer Product Safety Commission filed suit against the company.[1] The product was later recalled as it was said to be unsafe.[7]

Gudel lives in Berwyn, PA with her two children. Her oldest daughter Kendall is a pediatric stroke survivor (AVM) who got golf instructions from Nick Faldo.[8] In 2016, Gudel founded Kendall's Crusade to help other AVM patients.[9] In 2020 she founded Food it Forward to help those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.[4][10]
