Liberty Ranch High School
Liberty Ranch High School is a 9-12th grade high school in Galt, California and a part of the Galt Joint Union High School District. It was opened in 2009 to only Freshman and Sophomores. The first graduating class was in 2012.
Recently: Since its opening, Liberty Ranch never had a stadium due to the field being too short and the district not having enough money to complete it but in 2018 the new Hawk Stadium opened during the first rally.
Incidents: Over the summer of 2019, it was discovered that water had gotten into the 700 (Agriculture) building and for the entire 2019–2020 school year went under repairs. Agriculture Science classes and the Floral class was moved temporarily into empty classrooms over at Estrellita High School in the back. Welding classes became travel classes over at Galt High School and the Mechanics class moved into one of the storage garages in the 800 (Miscellaneous) Subject building.
Future Work: It has been planned that in the future new classroom buildings will be built in between the 700 and 500 buildings and over near Hawk Stadium. Also a 2nd Gymnasium will be built (most likely for Weight Training) as well as an Auditorium/Theater for the Theater class. Other work includes adding permanent restrooms, ticket booth, snack bar, and storage buildings over at Hawk Stadium.
It serves a portion of Galt,[1] as well as Clay, Herald, and a small section of Wilton.[2][3] It also serves residents of the New Hope School District.[4]
