Lichenostigma cosmopolites

Lichenostigma cosmopolites is a species of lichenicolous fungus belonging to the family Phaeococcomycetaceae. It was described as new to science in 1999 by lichenologists Josef Hafellner and Vicent Calatayud. The fungus grows parasitically on Xanthoparmelia lichens.[1]
