Name

In 2014 Life Technologies India Pvt Ltd won a Delhi High Court judgement in its favour on the use of the name "Life Technologies",[4][5] which recorded that the Thermo Fisher acquisition had been acting in a 'false' and 'dishonest' manner. The subsidiary of Life Technologies (India) Private Limited had also won earlier battles at National Arbitration Forum, USA (Case #1363891 and 1363893 of 2011)[6] against Invitrogen Corporation (predecessor company of Thermo Fisher Scientific Corporation's acquisition), regarding ownership of few other brand names and related domains.

While Thermo Fisher Scientific corporation uses the Life Technologies brand in the United States and some other countries, Life Technologies (India) Private Limited claims to be the real owner of the brand, with its stand supported by the above judicial forums.[7][8]
