Lindsay Johnstone Watt

Lindsay Johnstone Watt is a retired diplomat of New Zealand.

• Lindsay Johnstone Watt is the son of G. J. Watt, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch.
• He is a M.A. (Hons.).
• From 1948 to 1951 he was a day boy at St. Andrew's College, Christchurch.
• From 1960 to 1963 he was third secretary at the mission of New Zealand to the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York City.
• In 1969 he was first secretary of the new Zealand embassy in Bangkok.
• In 1976 he was counsellor at the High Commission of New Zealand, London.
• From February 16, 1980 to March 17, 1982 he was the Representative of New Zealand to the Cook Islands.[1]
• From 1982 to 1985 he was High Commissioner in Suva Fiji.
• From 1985 to 1990 he was New Zealand's ambassador in Beijing.
• From 1993 to 2003 he served as Administrator of Tokelau.[2]
