Lisa L. Opie

Lisa Opie (born May 9, 1991) is an American beauty pageant titleholder, actress, model, and swimsuit designer.[2]

Early life

Opie completed undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in history. She was involved with the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Opie is the creator and designer of luxury swimwear brand Vizcaya Swimwear.[3][4]

Modeling

Opie is an internationally published model . She has been featured in magazines such as "Zoo Weekly", "People", "Daily Mail", "Huffington Post", "Yahoo!", "MSN" and "New York Post".[5][6]

Pageant experience

Miss United States

Opie was Miss Virgin Islands 2013[7][8] in the Miss United States Organization. She was fourth runner-up at Miss United States 2012.[9] She competed in Miss United States again the next year and placed in the Top 15.[10]

Miss Nationwide

Opie was crowned Miss Nationwide 2014 in December 2013. She represented Florida in the pageant.[11][12]

Miss Florida USA

In December 2014 Opie was crowned Miss South Florida USA 2016. She represented South Florida at the Miss Florida USA pageant in July 2015.[13][14]

Lady Code

In September 2013, Opie created a women's wellness and lifestyle blog, Lady Code.[15][16] She was a victim of bullying during her time at Williamsburg Christian Academy and Jamestown High School (Virginia), and uses Lady Code to promote women's empowerment and anti-bullying.[17][18][19]

Vizcaya Swimwear

Opie and Franz Orban founded Vizcaya Swimwear in 2012.[20] She credits her swimwear line's success to her network in the modeling and pageant industry.[21] In 2014 Vizcaya became the official swimwear sponsor of the Miss United States Organization.[22]
