1 | "The Fallen Imperial Princess" Transcription: "Otosareta Kōjo" (Japanese: 堕とされた皇女) | October 4, 2014[1]
Returning home from a lacrosse match, the royal vehicle of Princess Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi passes by the scene of a young mother having her infant daughter confiscated by the state for being a "Norma", a person who is unable to use Mana. Ange approaches the mother and enrages her further by giving a propagandist anti-Norma sentiment. That evening, Angelise's mother Sophia Ikaruga Misurugi gives her a ring to mark her Baptism Ritual, a coming-of-age ceremony linked to her ascension to the throne. On the day of the Baptism Ritual, her brother Julio Asuka Misurugi reveals to the audience that Angelise is actually a Norma herself. Sophia helps her escape, her sister Sylvia Ikaruga Misurugi faints from the shock, and her father Jurai Asuka Misurugi is restrained and imprisoned. Julio then caresses Sylvia's lips, muttering about his desire to "re-establish the purity of the royal bloodline", and declares himself the new Emperor. Sophia is killed while trying to help her daughter escape, and Angelise is hauled away to an island prison called Arzenal where she is stripped of her possessions and rights as a citizen, renamed "Ange", and forcibly recruited into the military.
2 | "Defiant Soul" Transcription: "Matsurowanu Tamashii" (Japanese: まつろわぬ魂) | October 11, 2014[1]
On Ange's first day as a soldier, Arzenal commander Alektra Maria "Jill" von Loewenherz assigns her to the 1st Squadron led by Captain Zola Axberg, a hedonistic woman, and introduces Ange to the unit. Ange is then supervised by Salia Tereshkova, a quiet lieutenant and Zola's second in command. Ange is forced to wear a bloodstained deceased pilot's suit. Despite her initial misgivings, Ange agrees to wear the suit. In the Paramail simulator, Ange recalls that her aerial lacrosse matches are similar to the Paramail controls. After days of training, Zola reveals that Ange is doing well in her routine and Salia gives Ange some supplies and sleeping quarters. At the canteen, Ange is joined by Zola's allies, who remind her that her royalty status is now gone and she must accept that she is a Norma. Ange leaves the table and Coco reveals to Ange that she likes her and wants to go to the Misurugi Empire and gives Ange her pudding. In her room, she dumps Coco's pudding and writes a letter requesting for her release. Jill reads Ange's request but declines and Zola attempts to violate her. Ange fights back and Zola's artificial eye pops out. During their altercation, the command is alerted that a singularity portal is about to open and the 1st Squadron is dispatched. In their dispatch, Ange attempts to flee while Salia pursues her and Coco attempts to join Ange in going back to the Misurugi Empire. However, the portal opens and a DRAGON kills Coco. Ange is now in shock from what she sees from the DRAGONs' attack.
3 | "Villkiss Awakens" Transcription: "Virukisu Kakusei" (Japanese: ヴィルキス覚醒) | October 18, 2014[1]
After Coco's death, Ange remains adamant on defecting from the unit. However, the DRAGONs brigade consisting of 22 schooners and a galleon type appears to which the squadron puts their Paramail into assault mode and attacks the horde. Miranda grieves over Coco's death but the schooners eat her alive. As Zola is about to deliver the killing blow on the galleon type DRAGON, a shocked Ange accidentally bumps into her and the galleon type apparently destroys their units. Ange survives the crash but Zola is killed. At the infirmary, Zola's unit puts the blame of Zola's death on an injured Ange. Jill promotes Salia and Hildegard Schlievogt to the ranks of Captain and Lieutenant respectively. With her request to return home declined and most of her family dead, a despairing Ange is ordered by Jill to carry the tombstones of the dead to their cemetery. Jill assigns Ange to pilot a unique Paramail which other pilots consider "ancient". The unit heads out and hunt their previous enemy but the galleon type DRAGON chases and attacks Ange. As she recalls her despair and Sophia's dying wish, Ange awakens Villkiss in assault mode and destroys the galleon type. Back at the Arzenal cemetery, she cuts her hair to signify her new life at Arzenal and vows to do whatever it takes to survive.
4 | "Lonely Mutiny" Transcription: "Hitori botchi no hangyaku" (Japanese: ひとりぼっちの反逆) | October 25, 2014[2]
After their mission, the squadron collects their bounty, and Ange gets the highest amount. In response to Ange's arrogance and brash attitude, Hilda and her allies attempt to ridicule her but all their efforts prove futile. Meanwhile, Salia is shown studying military manuals about leadership and Vivian starts taking a liking to Ange. However, Salia dreams of piloting Villkiss. At Jasmine's mall, Ange buys a new uniform and Jasmine unsuccessfully attempts to lecture her about the people disliking her. Alone in the canteen, Ange is joined by Vivian and offers Ange a key-chain, but she rejects it. Having bought Zola's quarters, Hilda throws Zola's artificial eyeball into the sea and then heads to the hangar and sabotages Villkiss. During their next sortie, the squadron maintained their formation until Ange rushes forward. However, Villkiss encounters a malfunction during the assault but Ange ignores and transforms Villkiss into assault mode. A Schooner rushes to Ange and they wrestle on the sea during which Ange's cockpit was filled with water, making her unconscious. Before the credits, Ange wakes up tied on a bed naked with a boy sleeping beside her.
5 | "Ange Loss" Transcription: "Anju, sōshitsu" (Japanese: アンジュ、喪失) | November 1, 2014[3]
Ange is tied up naked and a half-naked boy sleeping beside her. As they both wake up, Ange tries to scream while the boy is explaining her current situation, which ends up with Ange breaking free and the boy being beaten. Meanwhile at Arzenal, Jill orders Salia to search for Ange. Ange heads to the shore where Villkiss in assault mode is half submerged in the sea. She discovers that Hilda's underwear stuffed in an intake valve was the reason of Villkiss's malfunction while the boy follows her. Ange and the boy continue their altercation until the boy is tied up and Ange wanders around the forest. As rain falls, Ange seeks shelter but she is bitten by a snake which causes her to become unconscious due to the snake's venom. The boy rescues her by sucking the venom on her left leg and treats her in his hideout. The boy looks after Ange by feeding her and helping her recuperate while repairing Villkiss, which reminds the boy of his youth where his parents died, and remembers Jill walking towards him with Villkiss behind her. The boy states that his name is Tusk, but does not discloses his true identity to Ange. They spend some quality time together but are interrupted when a fleet carrying a brig-class DRAGON appears above them and a Schooner attacks them from the sea. Ange attacks the Schooner while Tusk rushes to repair Villkiss. As Ange feels hopeless, Villkiss, suddenly reacting to her ring, shoots the Schooner and Ange frantically kills it. At dawn, Ange formally introduces herself to Tusk and the rescue team arrives. Tusk later pays his respects to his fallen comrades and leaves the island piloting a Para-mail.
6 | "Momoka Has Arrived!" Transcription: "Momoka ga kita!" (Japanese: モモカが来た!) | November 8, 2014[4]
Momoka stows away on a transport vehicle that delivers supplies to Arzenal. She was then caught and Ange is surprised by Momoka's arrival. Despite Momoka being delighted to see her, Ange becomes cold to her and resents her because Momoka is a reminder of her life in the Palace. Momoka continues to assist and impress Ange despite the ill-treatment and resentment until Ange orders her to bathe together. While bathing, Momoka recalls a gash on her arm from a broken ceramic doll which Ange tended many years ago. Momoka admits that she is envious yet dedicated to serving Ange despite the harsh treatment. However, Ange replies that she must leave. Their bathing was interrupted and joined the offensive. The next day, Momoka is about to leave Arzenal, where at the last minute Ange halts Momoka's departure by buying her using her money from her savings.
7 | "Salia's Gloom" Transcription: "Saria no yūutsu" (Japanese: サリアの憂鬱) | November 15, 2014[5]
After their defensive sortie, Rosalie blames Ange for annihilating all DRAGONs which affects their bounty. Ange sarcastically responds to Rosalie, and Salia demands that they must work together as a squadron. At the cafeteria, Hilda questions Salia's leadership on which Salia quietly leaves and heads to Jasmine so she can rent a fitting room and relieve herself by cosplaying a character based on a book she read. However, Ange accidentally sees Salia and out of humiliation, Salia attacks Ange. Eventually, they are both punished by writing a repentance essay. The next day, Ange gets a fever and Salia and her squadron push through their training. At the hangar, Salia heads to Villkiss and Mei tells Salia that since Ange was using Villkiss there were no casualties in every sortie. On their defensive sortie, Salia and her squadron intercept a land-based DRAGON. Hilda uses a spell of gravitational pull where everyone is grounded and cannot make an attack. Ange, on Salia's orders, destroys the DRAGON's left horn to dispel the gravitational pull and the squadron kills the DRAGON. Back at Arzenal, the squadron gets a huge bounty while Ange gets a small amount. Salia asks her squadron if they are satisfied on the bounty they received and staying alive in every mission they take. Rosalie and Chris decide to move on and Hilda brands her lovers as traitors. The squadron honors Ange by throwing her into the bathing area and Salia unites her squadron. Later, Momoka intercepts an emergency Mana message where Sylvia asks if she found Ange and then screams as if she were being attacked.

Arzenal holds the annual Festa as giving Normas a day off from their usual duties. In this Festa, Ange's old friend Misty Rosenblum represents the festivity in the name of the Rosenblum family, who supervises Arzenal. As the festivity goes, Misty asks Emma to locate Ange because she wants to meet her. As others spend their time in the Festa, Hilda is planning something and Ange gets bored that she decided to wear the Perolina costume. Ange sneaks on Misty's mansion and talks to her that she needs help. Meanwhile, Momoka searches for Ange and Hilda talks to her at gunpoint. Simultaneously, Ange and Misty head to the armory to gather weapons and proceed to the Hangar. However, Hilda commands via gunpoint to Momoka to control the transport and Ange sees them as well, pointing her gun to Hilda. Ange demands to use the transport but Hilda tells her that she knows the Hangar's mechanisms because the transport is locked and breaking it means alerting Arzenal. Forming an unlikely alliance, Hilda frees the transport and Ange tells Momoka to fly the aircraft. As the transport runs, Ange initially refuses Hilda to board the plane due to the bullying she received from her but Hilda clings on and reveals her past with Zola and her intention in escaping in order to meet her mother. Ange accepts Hilda's reasons and lets her board the plane as it leaves Arzenal. After reaching their destination, Ange with Momoka and Hilda part ways and tells that they must survive so they can meet again. Ange and Momoka heads to the Misurugi Empire.
9 | "Traitorous Homeland" Transcription: "Uragiri no furusato" (Japanese: 裏切りの故郷) | November 29, 2014[7]
Hilda steals some clothes before heading to her mother who lives in the outskirts of Enderant Union. Arriving at her destination, her mother does not recognize her causing Hilda to think that she simply grew up and her appearance changed. As she was about to reveal her name to her mother, a young girl appears and her mother called the girl "Hilda", which surprises her. The young Hilda learns that Hilda is a Norma which scares and causes her to faint. At her mother's request, Hilda leaves but is soon ambushed by the police. Meanwhile, Ange and Momoka prepares their advance on the imperial palace. They head to the Iaria hangar and meet Ange's friend Akiho, who is terrified upon seeing Ange. As Ange steals a Iaria vehicle, Akiho attempts to make an emergency call but Ange quickly discovers Akiho's call and restrains her but she breaks free nonetheless. As they maneuver around the imperial capital, they are ambushed and chased until Ange enters a hidden passage known only to royalty. As they reach the imperial palace, Ange is confronted by imperial guards and rescues Sylvia. However, Sylvia turns on Ange and cuts her arm with a knife, seemingly blaming her sister for her paralysis and the death of Sophia. Devastated by Sylvia's words, Ange is captured by the imperial guards to await trial by Julio.
10 | "Goodbye From the Gallows" Transcription: "Kōshu-dai kara sayonara o" (Japanese: 絞首台からサヨナラを) | December 6, 2014[8]
Ange is tried by Julio and is condemned to a public hanging. Ange realizes how cruel the humans imbued with Mana truly are and recalling her mother's words, she starts marching to the gallows while singing. She is then hanged but Tusk suddenly saves her and ends up in an awkward position. Ange, Momoka and Tusk flee from the empire with Ange wounding Julio's face using a thrown blade. As they head to Arzenal, Tusk tells Ange that Jill knows everything about Villkiss and his orders that Ange must survive. Upon arriving at Arzenal, Ange and Hilda are detained and they tell their bitter stories, realizing what fools they were to believed there was hope in their respective countries. They then become comrades and decide to destroy the twisted world once they are released. Ange starts singing the same song she sang during her execution and the entire Arzenal staff hears it.
11 | "Dragon Song" Transcription: "Ryū no uta" (Japanese: 竜の歌) | December 13, 2014[9]
Disturbed after their encounter with Ange during the execution, Sylvia heads to Julio's room where she finds Julio and Riza in a seemingly romantic moment. Riza drops a peculiar liquid into Julio's mouth and Sylvia sees Riza as a monster with wings and a tail. As she finds out the truth, Riza uses her tail to strangle Sylvia who screams for help. In a flashback, Jill, back then known as Alektra, returns to Arzenal wounded and her arm is lost. A young Salia and Mei discover Jill's condition and Salia vows to avenge Jill. Jill declines Salia's offer to use Villkiss because Salia does not have something to fly it. Back in the present, Salia is hopeful to fully use Villkiss. However, a singular portal opens above Arzenal and a vast array of Schooner-type DRAGONs appear storming the base. Other than Schooners, three Para-mails appeared and the red Para-mail that seemingly leads the pack unleashes a powerful beam which destroys a good part of Arzenal and the island, killing several along its path. Salia's squadron is sent to intercept the enemies but Salia uses Villkiss over Jill's objections. Jill orders the release of Hilda and Ange. Ange assumes command of Villkiss, engaging the mysterious Para-mail evenly in combat. The mysterious Para-mail suddenly stops and the pilot starts singing. Ange responds by singing as well and her ring starts to glow which makes the Villkiss react. As their attacks collide in mid air, Ange confronts the pilot and seemingly sees their history and relation. The pilot quickly leaves, telling Ange "the truth lies with the Aura". The mysterious Para-mails along with the DRAGONs retreat and Salia discovers that Ange is the actual pilot for Villkiss. In the aftermath, Jill assesses the condition of Arzenal while Vivian enjoys lying on her bed even though the room is destroyed.

Meanwhile, in Arzenal, Hilda assumes the position of captain as Salia has been detained for disobeying orders. Jill and Ange talk about the history of the world, including how humans obtained the ability to use Mana and why Normas were discriminated. Ange later notices that Jill did not answer her question about the DRAGONs and is about to question Jill further when suddenly a DRAGON survivor is discovered in the base. It is revealed that the DRAGON is Vivian and she hums Ange's song, which Ange recognizes and starts singing along with Vivian that was in DRAGON form. Vivian is returned to human form and Ange realizes that DRAGONs are actually human beings. Ange is devastated upon discovering a group of DRAGONs being burned, and vows not to kill DRAGONs or pilot Villkiss anymore. However, a fleet arrives at Arzenal with Julio on board of the flagship.
13 | "Arzenal Burns" Transcription: "Aruzenaru, enjō" (Japanese: | January 3, 2015[11]
As Julio's fleet advances to Arzenal, Jill orders the entire staff to ignore the message and prepare to defend themselves as she initiates Operation Libertas. The naval fleet sees Arzenal arming up their defenses causing Julio to command an attack on Arzenal. Jill also orders Salia to guard Ange and Mei to bring the Villkiss underground where she and her crew descend to a submarine called Aurora built underneath Arzenal. Julio's troops enter Arzenal and kill several people. Meanwhile, Ange ignores Salia's warnings as she and Momoka flee to the cafeteria. However, Julio's troops apparently attack Momoka but Ange draws fire to save her and interrogates one of the soldiers. Ange decides to head out and confront Julio using the Villkiss. Ange then activates the Villkiss' powers giving it a new red color and attacks the soldiers and their mana-powered weapons as she heads to Julio. Despite Salia's objections, Ange says that she will protect Arzenal and incapacitates Salia. As she is attacked by enemy units, Ange notices a light barrier protecting the Villkiss. She finally confronts Julio and she is about to kill him, but Embryo intervenes using his Black Angel Ragna-Mail to stop Ange. Embryo taunts Ange and suddenly sings to activate its powerful attack, killing Julio and annihilating his naval fleet in the process. Ange seemingly survives Embryo's attack and Embryo targets Tusk and Vivian. Embryo sings again and Ange attempts to save Tusk, transforming the Villkiss again this time giving it a bluish appearance. The Black Angel fires but Villkiss disappears along with Tusk and Vivian. Back at Arzenal, the Aurora becomes operational and they escape Arzenal.
14 | "Ange and Tusk" Transcription: "Anju to tasuku" (Japanese: アンジュとタスク) | January 10, 2015[12]
Ange abruptly wakes in a desolate place and meets Tusk and Vivian, who has become a DRAGON again. They assume that the place is in a different dimension, far away from Arzenal. Ange makes a reconnaissance trip between dimensions, and she is stunned by to see the Column of Dawn in the Misurugi Empire. They follow the automatic guide robot and enter the capital third shelter. Later, a management computer called Himawari activates, and reveals that over 500 years ago, the Seventh World War took place. Due to this abnormal situation, Earth became a place that is almost impossible to survive in. Unable to accept the situation that they are currently in, Ange becomes frustrated. Ange makes a thoughtless remark causes a hostile atmosphere between the two. However, Ange sends a present to Tusk and reconciles with him. After finding a well preserved room, Tusk tells Ange that Embryo, who is the supreme leader who united the world, has been manipulating humanity from behind the scenes, and that he is the arch-nemesis of "Inishieno-Tami". Meanwhile, Ange and Tusk enjoy some peaceful time together and their bond deepens. However, two strangers riding on a DRAGON burst into the house. The warriors inform them that the place they are currently in is another Earth, the "true Earth".
15 | "Another Earth" Transcription: "Mōhitotsu no chikyū" (Japanese: もう一つの地球) | January 17, 2015[13]
Ange, Tusk, Vivian, and the Villkiss are transported by DRAGONs to a castle in the mountains, where Vivian is shot with a tranquilizer dart and taken away. Ange and Tusk are taken to see the High Priestess and her council, where not only Ange's temper gets away from her, but Tusk is under a lot of scrutiny. Things look grim until Salamanday, the pilot Ange met above Arenzal, offers them hospitality and to show the two their world. During a tea ceremony, Ange's patience runs thin and she attempts to take their hostess hostage where Salamanday not only shows Ange how they survived on their Earth, but also the source of the Mana of Light and the truth of the war between Arenzal and the DRAGONs and Embryo. Ange tries to attack Salamanday, but is quickly subdued. She wakes up in a hospital bed with a human Vivian looking after her, and learns that Vivian can now control her transformations thanks to Dr. Gecko adjusting her DRAGON gene. They hear Tusk yell in the next room, where Ange and Vivian find a naked Tusk strapped to a table and surrounded by a bunch of young DRAGONettes. Dr. Gecko thanks Tusk for cooperating as there are few humanoid males around and they learned a lot about sex, much to Ange's chagrin. Afterwards, Ange and Vivian meet Salamanday and another DRAGON female who actually is Vivians' mother and the DRAGONs plan a festival for her return. During the festival, Salamanday's guards meet with Ange and Tusk asking them to learn about them, and they in turn want to learn. Tusk asks Ange if they really need to return to their Earth, which Ange does not have an answer for yet.
16 | "Resonating Front Lines" Transcription: "Kyōmei sensen" (Japanese: 共鳴戦線) | January 24, 2015[14]
Ange wakes up in a room and frees Tusk who had been tied up as they are visited by Sala, Naga, and Kaname. Meanwhile, Vivian is having breakfast while talking to her mother, Lamia, and they are shortly joined by Ange's party. Afterwards, they go to a stadium at Sala's suggestion. Salamanday then challenges Ange to a competition where if she wins, Ange must assist them in fighting against Embryo but if she loses, Ange is freed. They then compete through tennis, baseball, golf, and various other sports, and by so doing, they are able to develop a friendship. Sala tells Ange that what their leaders have to do is to protect their citizens; while on the other hand, Ange expresses a negative opinion that opposes Sala's beliefs, creating a strained atmosphere between them. Meanwhile, Vivian goes back to her parents’ home with her mother for the first time in many years and they spend time together peacefully. However, their peace is forcibly put to an end when what appears to be an unstable singular point appears. Sala moves into the offensive in an attempt to help the people, and Ange pilots the unfinished Villkiss to help Vivian. Although she is confused, at the proposal of Ange, Sala embraces the idea of negating the effects of her weapon with the Villkiss' "Discord Feather" and closes the singular point. As this event gets triggered, Sala realizes that she must act as a leader, saying that they must increase mutual trust and that her mind is set on them supporting each other as good friends.
17 | "Dark Angel of Destruction" Transcription: "Kuro no hakai tenshi" (Japanese: 黒の破壊天使) | January 31, 2015[15]
In the hot springs, Sala reveals to Ange that she has discovered Aura deep underground in the Misurugi Empire, and that they must march with all power to the Misurugi Empire through a singular point to recapture it. Sala tells Ange that she trusts her judgment, and that if she were to go to the war front with Ange, she would be very glad. Afterwards, Tusk suggests that it would not be bad to fight in cooperation with DRAGONs. In contrast, Ange feels anxious because she has become unable to believe anything as a result of the constant lies. She says that it is strange that a former princess would invade the Misurugi Empire. Tusk encourages Ange that she should do what she wants to do, and then tells Ange he will support her to the best of his abilities. Ange is calmed by Tusk's optimistic words. Tusk sexually harasses Ange and is subsequently thrown into the river by her, suffering serious injuries. As they enjoy eating lunch, Lamia thanks Ange. As a result of Tusk's injuries, he is invited by the DRAGON women to have dinner with them. The fact that Tusk seems infatuated with the DRAGON women makes Ange very jealous, and she makes a threatening gesture towards them, and then she makes space only for two and waits on Tusk hand and foot. Tusk comments that the meal that Ange served to him was the best. Ange feels a strong kinship with the people of Arzenal, admiring the fact that they are able to live both happily and peacefully, even without Mana. Ange decides that she will go back to Arzenal because it is a comfortable place to live in and also because Momoka is waiting there for her. After Ange has made her decision, Sala arrives. She tells Ange that, because she respects Ange's decisions, and because she is under Ange's debt, when the time comes that they defeat Embryo she would like to continue the games she had been playing with Ange from where they had left off. Lamia is pleased with the growth of her daughter, Vivian and tells Vivian that she should value the friends she met during her process of growth. Vivian decides to go back to the place where her friends are, and promises Lamia that she will return to her. Before the war takes place, Dr. Gecko tells Tusk that she wants to know more about his body, but Ange intrudes. Omiko decides that it is time to inform Embryo of the threat posed by the Descendants of Aura and then, triggered by her words, they start to attack. Ange, Tusk and Vivian head to the Singularity Point and embark for the world where they had formerly lived. Meanwhile, Tusk and Ange discuss their dreams, such as wanting to open a coffee shop together, and then they hope that the world will become peaceful in the future. After the Singularity Point opens, find that they are not in the skies of the Misurugi Empire where they originally planned to emerge, and soon they realize that they have been ambushed. Riza is imprisoned in a torture chamber in the Misurugi Empire, where Embryo forces the secret of the army's strategy out of Riza and thus staves off an attack of Sala's forces. Sala's battlefront is pushed back, and Sala is left unsure of how to proceed. She resolves to withdraw, following the advice of Ange and Tusk. Ange makes up her mind to fight in order to give Sala time to reach the Singularity Point and as a result Sala is able to return to the other Earth. In response to being attacked, Ange battles a group of people and, in the end, learns that the people attacking her are her former co-workers from Arzenal: Salia, Ersha and Chris. They, who are under Embryo's control, tries to capture Ange, but fails because of the interference by Tusk and Vivian. Finally, the Villkiss allows Ange to teleport to Arzenal to avoid being captured by them. At first Arzenal is devoid of people, but suddenly someone appears. Finally, Ange and Momoka achieve a reunion.
18 | "Conclusive Ocean" Transcription: "Ketsubetu no umi" (Japanese: 決別の海) | February 7, 2015[16]
In the Aurora, Jill is told that Ange came from the other side of the Singularity Point, and about the parallel world and the humans who were able to modify their genetic structure, but she is only half convinced. Ange suggests that to overturn the status, they should cooperate with DRAGONs. She reveals that the purpose of DRAGONs is to recapture Aura, and the Singularity Point would become unable to open since all energy would be cut off by then. Ange says that even if they are able to save Aura, there is no way to stop Embryo or achieve Libertas. Jasmine also proposes that Ange should make contact with a DRAGON by using the Villkiss and that she should co-operate with the DRAGONs to defeat Embryo. Meanwhile, Maggy is impressed by the fact that the technology used in Sala's world can avoid turning Vivian into a DRAGON. Tusk reveals that the Aurora is made by the Inishieno-Tami to fight against Embryo. Hilda is doubtful of Ange and Tusk's relationship, but later Hilda makes a clumsy attempt to express happiness at seeing Ange again. Hilda reveals that her allies Mary, Mallika and Nonna, who have recently been raised to the rank of Mail-riders, are able to make up for their short-coming in fighting. Hilda also says that Jill's Libertas operation is to free Norma from Embryo and their fates. Later, Hilda asks Ange about her past and tells her about her own feelings. The next day, Jill accepts Ange's proposal and outlines the specifics of the diversionary operation, which involves the capture of the point called the Column of Dawn, where Aura and Embryo currently are. However, Jill merely thinks of DRAGONs as a necessary sacrifice to carry out the Libertas, and she believes that the team should not attempt to help the DRAGONs' suffering. She says that DRAGONs are nothing more than tools to accomplish the Libertas. Losing her temper, Ange tells Jill that she will have to carry out the plan on her own. Jill takes Momoka hostage and threatens Ange to try to force her to cooperate. Jill says that Libertas is proceeding as planned and that the Villkiss is the strongest weapon to defeat Embryo. Tusk releases the noxious gas which he had installed beforehand, and flees with Ange, having declined Jill's plans. However, they are cut off by Jill at the flight deck. After defeating Jill, Ange decides to fight for those who believe in her, and then takes off from the flight deck in her Villkiss and starts to attack. After the Villkiss takes off, Ange asks Tusk to shoot her own plane, because putting the Villkiss in danger is necessary for her to teleport to Sala's place. Soon, circumstances force Ange to face off against her former comrades.
19 | "The Tuner of Time" Transcription: "Toki no Chōritsu-sha" (Japanese: 時の調律者) | February 14, 2015[17]
Tusk's fuselage is fiercely attacked by Ersha and Chris, causing Momoka to be almost thrown into the sea, but she escapes death by using Mana. Ange counteracts the enemy's attack and allows the Aurora to prepare to move, and under the command of Jasmine the Aurora is able to escape into the sea. Ange tries to ask Ersha and Chris what really happened to them, but they decline, and then they withdraw immediately afterwards. Ange achieves a sense of relief and goes to rescue Momoka, but Salia waits for an opportune moment and hits Ange with a surprise attack. Salia, who has deactivated stealth mode and become visible, shoots Ange with a tranquilizer gun. Ange wakes abruptly in her room in the Misurugi Empire, which remains in the same condition it was in before she was exiled, and then she meets Momoka. Ange and Momoka once again fully enjoy the life just as they had spent it when Ange was princess of the Misurugi Empire. Ange finds a letter from Embryo and realizes that the circumstances surrounding her are the result of Embryo's actions. Ange makes up her mind that she will go to the place where Embryo is and decides to attack him, but then Salia, who is the leader of the Diamond Rose Knights, appears and disturbs Ange. Ange tries to inquire about what happened to Salia, and Salia replies that after she was thrown away by Jill and Ange she was given a helping hand by Embryo. Additionally, she tells Ange that, while she is no longer needed by Jill, her potential value is recognized by Embryo, and that she has fallen in love with him. After Salia says this, she and Ange get in a squabble and battle, and then Ange succeeds in shaking off her pursuers. After leaving her room, Ange once again meets the children who attended elementary school in Arzenal. In the Misurugi palace garden, Ersha appears and reveals to Ange that she is the director of the Embryo kindergarten. Additionally, she tells Ange that because Embryo brings children which died back to life, Ersha feels a lot of favour towards him and rallies for him. Ersha feels sympathy with Embryo's plan to create a world where children can live in peace, and then she swears to stop at nothing to protect the children. At the foot of the tree, Ange meets with Chris, and ask her to give a tour of the place where Embryo is, and to which Ange wants to go. Afterwards, she is reunited with her younger sister, Sylvia, who had previously parted with Ange in the library. Sylvia lashes Riza with her whip, but the moment she see Ange's face, she is stricken with fear. Afterwards, Embryo meets Ange and then leaves with the car, leaving the Misurugi Empire behind. In the meeting room of the Aurora, Jill raises questions about the fate of Libertas and regrets the loss of Ange who is key to continuing the plan. In the room, Hilda reckons that the mood on the ship is bad and tells Rosalie a plan to try to recapture Ange. In the Column of Dawn, Ange confirms the existence of the Aura and requires Embryo to release Aura, but he refuses and shows Ange that Aura plays an essential role in maintaining peace within human society. His reaction enrages Ange, and then she sees it as a suitable reason to consider him her enemy. Ange tries to kill Embryo by shooting him repeatedly, but he is reborn again and again. He proclaims himself as a "Tuner of Time". Embryo uses his ability to hypnotize Ange and tries to seduce her, but when he kisses her an image pops into her head breaking the spell and she bites him saying that no matter what her heart will never be empty. However this makes Embryo happy and says he has been waiting for her for a long time. In Jill's bedroom, Hilda discovers that Jill is troubled by her past relationship with Embryo.

On the Aurora, Jill says to Tusk that in spite of the fact that he is Villkiss's knight, his actions have caused Libertas's failure. In Salia's bedroom, Embryo approaches Salia and offers her to let Ange join the Diamond Rose Knights, but she refuses. Salia tries to stop Ange who intends to pass her and confront Embryo, but in the end, Ange goes to the library. In the library, Embryo serves her tea before proposing to Ange that he wants to marry her to fulfill her dream to destroy the world. Embryo reveals to Ange that he had tried to change the world in which a brutal and greedy ancient human beings live, and make a world filled with peace by using Mana, but he tells Ange that his plans failed because the human beings living in his world essentially did not change. After Ange asks Embryo the way to change the world, he reveals that the song is built based on a "unified theory" and tells her that he has converted "a law which influences the cosmos" into a melody. He tells Ange that he plans to amplify the song using the Ragna-Mail to fuse both worlds and create a new world by exploiting Aura's energy. Ange refuses and attacks Embryo, but he begins to torture her. In Hilda's bedroom in Aurora, Hilda and Rosalie strengthen their bond realizing that Ange and Chris are very important to them and they decide to rescue them. Distrusting of Jill, Hilda cooperates with Tusk to thwart Jill's escape attempt to find Embryo. At the Column of Dawn's prison, Momoka sees Riza being tortured by Sylvia. Riza informs Momoka that there is Ange in the shelter that is exclusively used by royalty. In the Aurora, Jill reveals that Embryo controlled her mind and she became captivated by him. She also let her friends die and the only thing she can do to atone for her crime is to kill Embryo. Having now realized the truth, Hilda assumes command after Jasmine relieves Jill. Meanwhile, Embryo's attempts to torture Ange fails. Embryo gathers the other Mail-riders for trying to carry out his plan, but Salia is not there. In the shelter, Salia tells Ange that she must leave, and Ange chokes Salia before giving her the ring of Villkiss. After Ange and Momoka escape and flee, Ersha tries to stop her but then the Villkiss appears in response to the situation. Later, Sala arrives from the Singularity Point to help Ange.

When Tusk says he will push into the center of the Misurugi Empire, Hilda lets out a surprised cry. On the deck of Aurora, Hilda gives an order to her Para-mail squadron. Recruits say in an apprehensive voice that it is stressful for them to fly over the human world. The Aurora surfaces, a hatch opens, and the Hilda Corps launch their attack. Above the Misurugi Empire, Ange meets Sala, and afterwards, the two separate and Sala goes to rescue Aura. Rosalie says with a puzzled voice that the war has already begun, and then something clicks in Vivian's mind, and she locates Ange by feeling Ange's signal with her native sense and turns her Para-Mail with one wing raised higher than the other and then they set off for the place where Ange is. Afterwards, Hilda reunites with Ange, but then Ange gets targeted by Chris. Chris comes, trying to capture Ange, but she is interrupted by Hilda who goes to help Ange, and then Chris scatters beams around them. Hilda has a one-on-one battle with Chris. Chris says in a voice dripping with sarcasm the fact that she was treated as a lightweight and Hilda gasps. At the river bank where the Villkiss crashed, Momoka gives mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Ange to try to rescue her, and by so doing, Ange is revived. They stumble toward the sea to join their co-worker at the Aurora. In a back alley, while Momoka goes to look for a car, Ange encounters an enemy who is under the control of Embryo. In the middle of an aerial battle, Rosalie asks Chris with a remorseful tone why they need to wage war with each other. In a flashback, Chris, Rosalie and Hilda exchange gifts. Chris gets hair accessories from Hilda, but she is told then that she should make her hairstyle fit in with the hair accessory due to the fact that her hairstyle does not fit for Hilda's present. Chris says in a faraway tone that she put up with this kind of treatment, and their self-important attitudes, because she thought they were her friends. Thereafter, she says that Embryo proposed that he wanted to be her friend. Chris throws away her hair accessories and exclaims that Hilda and Rosalie are not her friends. Mary, who thinks that their conversation is at risk of being overheard, says in an apprehensive tone that she wants to help them even if it means disobeying orders, and then she sets off toward them. Meanwhile, in the car that Momoka is driving, Embryo says that because he is the creator, he has the power to control those who use Mana. After they see the emergence of nondescript beings, who are under control of Embryo, Ange and Momoka move toward the building. Above the Column of Dawn, Sala does battle with Ersha and tells Naga and Kaname that it is impossible for them to recapture Aura, and that it would be a good decision for their troops to retreat and rally their army. Sala tells Riza to join her. As Sylvia threatens Riza to return to the dungeon, the DRAGON tells her that Embryo killed Julio (in the Japanese dub she tells Sylvia Julio was the one who killed her father) as she escapes and flees. Meanwhile, Ange arrives at the roof where Embryo is and meets Tusk. Tusk buys Ange some time to get away by battling Embryo. When Hilda tries to withdraw, she is attacked by Chris, but then Marika comes to her aid and covers her but dies. After Embryo teleports to the place where Ange is, Tusk also arrives there to rescue the girls, only to have Momoka attack him under control again. However it is Ange who again breaks Momoka free, who then attacks Embryo. She is shot in the chest but then runs him through with a sword and pushes him off the cliff with a car, being caught in the explosion afterwards. Tusk get Ange to his machine, and then he kisses her saying that he will always be by her side. Then Tusk attacks Embryo, setting off a deadmans vest and destroying the area.

Embryo is not happy with Salia as he punishes her for letting Ange escape and tells her that his new world would be only for intelligent women. In the maintenance room of the Aurora, Nonna and Mary lament Marika's death. Meanwhile, Riza reveals that Embryo plans to merge the two worlds by using Aura and Ragna-Mail. When Hilda and Sala talk about forming strategic alliances with the provision that they bring back Ange, Emma, who is being manipulated by Embryo, appears and faces off against them, but then she is interrupted by Sala. Ersha enters into the library, begging Embryo in tears to raise the preschool children from the dead, but he refuses her wish. Realizing that she has been deceived by Embryo, a disillusioned Ersha buries the children and defects from Embryo. In Hilda's room, Hilda and Rosalie suffer from their stupidity and powerlessness, and then Rosalie decides to defeat Chris for Marika. In Jill's room, Jasmine tells Jill if she had treated Salia civilly, she would not have betrayed her. Meanwhile, Ange arrives at the place where she had previously spent time with Tusk, which remains untouched since the last time she was there. She reminisces about the past and then bursts into tears. In Salia's room, Salia decides to kill Ange to gain Embryo's acceptance. In the Aurora's medical room, Riza explains that, because Norma have the potential to reveal the full truth about this world, they are kept in quarantine. In a summit conference of government leaders, the leaders ask Embryo to save them from the chaos of the world, but Embryo refuses. In Tusk's room, Ange laments over Tusk's death. She finds and reads Tusk's diary, discovering Tusk's true feelings for her, and she is reminded of what Tusk meant to her. As a result, Ange thinks that she cannot live alone without Tusk by her side and tries to commit suicide, but then the memories of Tusk cross her mind make her persuade not to do it. When Ange thinks of the happy memories with Tusk while facing the setting sun, Tusk himself arrives and the two of them have sex. When they return to the Tusk's room, Ange is surprised and overjoyed to find that Momoka is also still alive and is waiting for her with home-cooked food. Ange calls the Villkiss, and then they prepare for war to combat the crisis situation.

Having analyzed the fact that the Column of Dawn is the center point of the "Space-time fusion", Hilda gives an order to the Aurora to go there, and meanwhile they get contacted by Ange. Ange, Tusk and Momoka are reunited with their allies. Ange is surprised to see Ersha's Ragna-Mail but is happy she returned, and even forgives Riza for her actions. She then talks to Jill about the best way to kill Embryo, and is told that the Villkiss and the song will unlock the unknown world that his body is hiding in. Jill then informs her that she relinquished command to Hilda, but Ange tells her about Salia defecting to Embryo. Afterwards, Hilda relinquishes command to Ange due to her royal heritage as a princess. Hilda tells Ange that she is her prince, and professes her love for her. Afterwards Ange and Tusk pledge to make every effort to return safely to each other, and Ange, who has no materials on hand, hands her underwear to Tusk as a lucky charm. Ange proclaims that they must make sure that they accomplish their purpose, and they initiate "Last Libertas". The Aurora bulldozes its way through the encircling enemy net using its firepower, and then it bursts from the sea and flies into the air, with the Para-mail squadron launching an attack. However, the Para-mail controlled by Embryo blocks Ange's path. Embryo tries to use the dimension cannon, but is stopped by Ange. Hilda and Rosalie face off against Chris as Sala and Ange head to Aura's prison but are intercepted by Salia who wants a world without Ange. The Aurora destroys the Column of Dawn, and by so doing, it creates a path toward Aura. Tusk employs himself as a decoy by fighting with Embryo and provides Ange with the opportunity to move towards Aura, but then she fights Salia. As a result of the enemies' attacks hitting the Aurora, the ship is damaged internally, and Mei is almost injured, but Jill rescues her and launches an attack to accomplish the Libertas mission. Meanwhile, Ange inadvertently encounters Sylvia again after her attack on Salia and declines her younger sister's offer for help. When Ange reveals that Sylvia has not attempted to walk since her injuries are healed, she forces Sylvia to flee on her own without using a wheelchair and bids her farewell. The fight between Salia and Ange is about to restart, when Jill appears and challenges Salia personally.

Chris still fights Rosalie and Hilda, with Chris accusing them to leading Mary to her death and Jill attempts to get Salia to stand down. As Tusk and Embryo continue fighting Embryo tries to rattle Tusk by telling him that he will tame Ange and that Tusk will never see her wild side, however, it is Tusk who gets to him telling him that the two made love and she accepted him fully. Sala gets to Aura but cannot free her with her rifle as a new group of drones attack. The Aurora's shield is taken down and they crash, and the Para-mails are in trouble until Ersha launches to join the fight. In the Aura's chamber, as Sala sings the others hear it, Embryo concerned, Salia crying that she was never going to be chosen, and Salia hits Jill but not before new portals open. On the Aurora, Salia brings Jill back to the hangar bay and asks for a stretcher, but Jill refuses and reconciles with Salia with her dying breaths. The convergence starts up again, but Aura shields them and tells them that the Villkiss can take them to the place Embryo is hiding out as it will answer the desires of its user. Meanwhile, Ange wakes up in a bed in a familiar place, afterwards, Embryo plans to start a race with Ange due to her strong will, but she refuses. As she tries to attack Embryo, he backhands her. Back on the Aurora, Hilda reluctantly asks Tusk to use the ring to wake up Villkiss as he had a stronger bond with Ange, but nothing seems to work. On Arzenal, Embryo corners Ange who is calling for Villkiss, but without the ring it does not answer. He prepares to violate her when she starts singing the Endless Song, which Tusk hears and pleads with Villkiss to help protect Ange. It wakes up and links with the other two Ragna-Mails and Sala's machine. Tusk, Hilda, Salia, and Sala warp to the interspace region, and Sala then starts to sing her portion of the song. After that, Tusk frees Ange and picks her up, where they soon reunite. He gets off and prepares to duel Embryo with Sala's sword. Ange prepares to battle when the Villkiss transforms once more into Knight Villkiss and she and the others face off against Embryo's machine and summoned copies. On the ground Tusk injures Embryo, realizing that it is the original he presses on, despite getting injured. In the sky Hilda and Salia both realize that their machines are the same and they both gain control of them and they destroy the copies. Hilda, Salia and Sala criticize Embryo for treating women with violence and sexism. Ange fires hers and damages the machine, destroying it altogether, while at the same time Tusk kills Embryo. Arzenal returns to the real world and Aura thanks them for their help. The group returns to the island where Ange voices her intent to work peacefully with the DRAGONs and to build a new nation where everyone can live as equals, while deciding to let the other world's citizens live by themselves and figure things out on their own. |
