List of members of Cardiff Council by seniority

This is the list of members of the city and County of Cardiff Counil by seniority, 1995–present. The councillors are ranked by the beginning of their terms in office, on the City and County of Cardiff Council.

Elections are held every four years. The Council elected in 2017 was the sixth to be elected. [1]

Criteria

The criteria for seniority, used in this article, are derived from the date of election. No distinction is made between those elected on the same day.

When a member has had broken service, that does not affect his or her seniority which is based on the latest period of continuous service.

List

This article assigns a numerical rank to each of the 72 members initially elected to the sixth Council. Other members, who were not the first person declared elected to a seat but who joined the Council as a result of by-elections, are not assigned a number.
