There are also records of a 108 feet (32.9 m) wave surfed by the French Benjamin Sanchis at Praia do Norte, though he failed to ride the wave to completion and was deemed by Billabong as a "partial tide". Garrett McNamara and Carlos Burle have also claimed to surf a 100 feet (30.5 m) wave at Praia do Norte, Garrett's record was unable to be certified and Carlo's ride is still awaiting confirmation by the Guinness World Records.[2]

Longest wave surfed by a dog

Abbie Girl, an Australian Kelpie, completed a distance of 107.2 metres (351.7 ft) at a dog surfing contest at Huntington Beach on October 18, 2011.[8]
