Litmus (band)
Litmus are a London-based space rock band formed in 2000 by bassist and vocalist Martin Litmus, guitarist and vocalist Simon Fiddler, and drummer Ben, joined the following year by keyboardist Andy Thompson and synth player Anton. In 2002, synth player Matt Thompson was added to the group, staying with the band until 2004. In 2003, Marek Bublik replaced Ben on drums. Andy Thompson left the band in 2007, and Oli Mayne was brought in to replace him the following year. In 2010, both Mayne and Anton exited the band. As of November 2012 the band consists of is Litmus, Fiddler, Bublik and keyboardist James Hodkinson. The band is influenced by mid-1970s Hawkwind and Black Sabbath, amongst others.

The band have played at festivals across the UK and Europe including Yellowstock (Belgium), The Psychotropic Caravan Festival (Finland), Two Days of Love and Peace (Germany), Burg Herzberg (Germany), Stoned from the Underground (Germany), South of Mainstream (Germany), Swamp Room Happening (Germany), Roadburn (Netherlands), Hard Rock Hell (UK), Hawkfest (UK), Sonic Rock (UK), Sonic Rock Solstice (UK), Celtic Warriors (UK), Cambridge Rock Festival (UK), Eastern Haze (UK).
In 2009, at the Sonic Rock Solstice festival, Bublik played drums for the Hawklords who had undergone an impromptu reforming during the festival from various bands playing there
The band has also supported or toured with Arthur Brown, Astra, Witchcraft, Julian Cope, Hawkwind, Space Ritual and The Atomic Bitchwax.
In mid-2010 they returned to Dave Anderson's Foel Studio in North Wales to record their fourth album, Slaughterbahn. The album was mixed at Foel in January 2011 and released in July 2012.

The band contributed a version of Paradox to the Hawkwind tribute album, Daze of the Underground.[1]
"Invader" (a track from the band's early demo tapes) featured on the Hawkfest 2002 compilation album.[2]
"Infinity Drive" featured on Julian Cope's Head Heritage sampler Due To Lack Of Interest, Tomorrow Has Been Cancelled.[3]
