Love (Malayalam film)

Love is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language black comedy drama film[1] written and directed by Khalid Rahman and produced by Ashiq Usman[2] under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. The film stars Rajisha Vijayan, Shine Tom Chacko in lead roles.[3]

Love marks the 10th project of Ashiq Usman and third film of Khalid Rahman after Unda and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam.[4] The film is co-written and edited by Noufal Abdullah. he music is composed by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair, while Jimshi Khalid has roped in as the cinematographer.[5]

Cast

Production

After the success of Unda, Khalid Rahman announced that the next film will have Rajisha Vijayan and Shine Tom Chacko in lead roles. Both were collaborated with him in his previous films. He also informed that additional cast includes Veena Nandakumar, Sudhi Koppa, Johny Antony, and Gokulan M.S.[6] Principal cinematography started on June 22, 2020 in Kochi, adhering to COVID-19 protocol guidelines.[7] On July 15th, the crew informed that the film shoot has completed and it only took 23 days.[2]

Marketing

The first look poster of the film released on August 3, 2020 by actors Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas and Indrajith Sukumaran.[8] The poster contained a blood-stained photo frame with Rajisha Vijayan and Shine Tom Chacko.[9] On 28th August, trailer of the film released via Youtube.[3]
