Background and release

The album was announced on August 9, 2020, as the first solo project of Wonho following his departure from Monsta X in October 2019. The album contains 8 tracks, with both Korean and English-language tracks.[1][2]

The album had an English-language pre-release single, "Losing You", that released on August 14, 2020, accompanied by a music video.[3] The title track "Open Mind" was released simultaneous to the album's full release on September 4, also accompanied by a music video.[4]

Critical reception

Wonho's participation in the writing, arranging, and composition of many of the songs on the album garnered praise for his overall musicality, as well as his diversity of style.[5][6][7] Additionally, the participation of several international producers were noted as part of the album's global appeal, as well as songs on the album being released in multiple languages.[4][8][9] The album debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart.[10]
