Lubok Pulau is a village in Tutong District, Brunei. It is a village subdivision under the mukim (subdistrict) of Tanjong Maya.[1]

Lubok Pulau is a village which is the third- and lowest-level administrative division of Brunei. It is one of the village subdivisions under Tanjong Maya, a mukim or subdistrict in Tutong District.[1] The community of Lubok Pulau is headed by a village head (Malay: ketua kampung) and the incumbent is Abdul Rahman bin Samad;[2] he also oversees the residents in the neighbouring Bukit Sibut.

Lubok Pulau is also a designated postcode area with the postcode TD2541.[3][4]

Education

Lubok Pulau Primary School is a government school which provides general primary education for the resident pupils of Bukit Beruang and Bukit Sibut. It also shares grounds with Lubok Pulau Religious School, which provides the ugama (literally 'religion') or Islamic religious primary education; it is compulsory for Muslim pupils in the country.[5]

Kampong Lubok Pulau Mosque is the village mosque and enables the Muslim residents to conduct the Jumu'ah or Friday prayers as well as other congregational prayers and communal religious activities. It was opened in August 1995 and can accommodate 800 worshippers.[6]
