Lucy Diamond

Lucy Diamond is an English author of female lead fiction, whose real name is Sue Mongredien.

Biography

She grew up in Nottingham, as one of four siblings and went to university in Leeds, where she studied English literature.

After a few years in London, and few more travelling around the world, she came back to the UK, worked with publishing, got three kids, left London for Brighton before she finally moved to Bath, where she still lives today.[1]

It was not until she moved to Brighton that she wrote her first novel for adults, but she had already written children’s books under her real name, Sue Mongredien.

In 2011, her novel Sweet Temptations was shortlisted for the Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance.[2]

Mongredien has also authored several children's books,[3] including books in The Sleepover Club series, Oliver Moon series, and the new Captain Cat series.
