Luis Pestarino

Luis Pestarino (born 28 May 1928 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) was an Argentine international football referee.[1][2]

Career

He officiated 9 international matches and was FIFA referee in 1965–1978. He refereed a 2nd group stage match in 1978 World Cup played between Sweden-Yugoslavia (2:1),[3] six matches in World Cup qualifying (CONMEBOL and CONCACAF) 1970 (1), 1974 (1), 1978 (4)[4] and others were in friendly matches. He also attributed two matches in 1972 Olympic Games.

In club football he officiated 37 matches in Copa Libertadores in 1966–78. He also refereed 1976 Intercontinental Cup 1st leg match played between FC Bayern MunichCruzeiro (2:0).
