M. B. W. Tent
M. B. W. Tent is an American mathematics educator and writer. She is the author of several bestselling books.
Life
Tent is originally a native of Massachusetts.[1] She currently works as a teacher at Altamont high school in Birmingham, Alabama.[2][1]
Career
Tent attended Amherst regional school[2] and is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College.[1] She received her bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham.[2]
She has been teaching and writing about mathematics for many years.[1]
Critical reception
Most of her books have received good reviews from organizations such as the Mathematical Association of America,[3] Association for Computing Machinery and Goodreads.[1][4]
Her books have received hundreds of citations in the academic press.[5]
Her books have also received praise from other authors and mathematicians like William Dunham, Peter Lax, Cathleen Synge Morawetz, Charles Ashbacher and Peter M. Neumann.[6][2]
