The vessel was built at the shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering under the yard number 4255. The vessel owned and managed by the Danish shipowner A P Moller Maersk, which is the largest operation of container shipping in the world. Magleby Maersk has a capacity for 18,270 TEU.
